Print the order slip and place with sample in a bag and drop off to the nearest Canada Post. Packed samples should weigh 15g max.

Collecting your soil sample

The process is simple. You will need a sandwich bag and a trowel or soil corer to retrieve three samples randomly taken from your target area. The samples should represent both good and bad situations depending on your context.

1. Locate an area just inside the dripline of a plant, and obtain a sample from approximately 4cm down in the root zone.
2. Place a gram in the sandwich bag.
3. Repeat this process for 3 different areas.
4. Seal the bag puffed up as much as possible with air inside. Do not blow air, close it without removing air.
5. Place the bag in an appropriate sized box.
